 REOPENING!  OCTOBER 23/2021

 

We thank you in advance for being patient with us as we move towards our reopening. We have had to fly the plane as we build it and there are many moving parts to our operation. Much like last time when we came out of lockdown the same protocols will apply and we will do everything we can to make your comeback as smooth as possible. Here is everything you need to know for you return to class.

BOOKINGS

Everyone will be required to book ahead via the mind body app or BYD website. The schedule will be available 7 days ahead. At this stage please don’t show up hoping to get a spot 5 minutes before class. In the current environment, this isn’t something we can accommodate.

The late cancellation window will be 4 hours prior to all classes except for the 6am. If you have booked a 6am, please cancel the night before (and before 8.30pm) so we can make arrangements to fill your spot with

someone from the waitlist. We will work diligently to move people from the waitlist into class, so keep an eye on your notifications. We won’t move you into the 6am beyond 9pm the night before.

Please only book classes you know you can attend.

Consistent no shows and late cancellations will result in late fees. We understand things come up and will be fair with you if you are with us. Our understanding is that by December 1st our capacity limits will increase and we can relax things further; until then, please be mindful of your fellow yogis who are trying to get into class as well…

We would also like to ask to limit your bookings to maximum 4-5 classes per week as this will help us to accommodate everyone initially. Once we are a couple weeks in, we will have more of an idea of attendance so we can revise this as we go along.

ONLINE CLASSES 

For the week prior to opening Sunday 17th – Friday 22nd we will be pausing online classes to give our teachers a break before the big return, and so Marty & I can make all the final arrangements in the studio. Here is the link for some pre recorded classes. Pre Recorded Classes

When we return to the hot room, we will continue offering online classes. The 6am and 5.30pm weekday classes and 8am and 3.30pm weekend classes will be live streamed from the hot room starting 23rd October.

MEMBERSHIPS

If you have a current membership, you are good to go and book classes as normal. If you placed your membership on hold or have a class pass that expired between June 23rd and October 23rd send us an email and we will get things sorted for you. We have tried to proactively do this but Mind Body doesn’t have an automatic extension system so it all has to be done individually.

All plan and class-pass options are available to purchase online.

PROOF OF VACCINATION 

You can either email your vaccination certificate to support@bikramyoga.net.au or have proof of vaccination with you on the day of your first class so we can verify this once in our system.

 MASKS

Currently masks are required to be worn indoors at the studio. You may remove your mask if you are doing strenuous exercise. We ask that you take your mask with you and don’t leave it on the floor or in the change rooms. You must resume wearing it as soon as it is practical to do so. The mask rules will be updated as the rules change.

QR CODE

We will have the Service NSW QR code set up for you to sign-in, the teachers will check this upon your arrival.

SHOWERS

Showers will be available. We will be waiting for the previous class to leave the building before bringing in the next class so please be quick in the showers and changing rooms.

YOGA ETIQUETTE

Clean up. Lost property left behind will have to be discarded so please check your bags before you leave the premises.

Be prepared that once inside the hot room you are in there for the duration of the class. We are trying to limit contact touch points. Once you leave the class that’s it for the day. If coughing excessively you will be asked to step outside.

Try not to touch your face. Cough into your elbow and pick up your tissues so we don’t have to.

This should go without saying, but if you have any signs of sickness please take the day off. We will be here when you are feeling better. This isn’t the time to sweat it out.

Above all, be kind and respect our teachers. Our team is doing their best to ensure everything is running smoothly. They have gone above and beyond to keep the yoga school going under difficult circumstances and have been instructed to refer all business queries to Marty or myself.
